Community Integration
Community integration services are provided to help clients transition back into daily life. Vocational testing and counseling, job search assistance, educational guidance, life skills assistance, and life coaching are available to assist clients with those issues.
Career Testing
Clearview administers several assessments that evaluate the client's vocational needs. Based on the results of these assessments, a detailed career plan is developed. The following assessments are administered:
The Strong Interest Inventory: The Strong Interest Inventory acts as a guide for career enrichment, change, and development. Whether exploring careers, considering a job change, or career development, the Strong provides information to help clients make informed decisions. The Strong's 317 items measure the clients' interest in a broad range of occupations, work activities, leisure activities, and school subjects.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator: The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a widely used personality inventory. The MBTI instrument determines preferences on four scales: Extraversion-Introversion, Sensing-Intuition, Thinking-Feeling, and Judging-Perceiving. The various combinations of result in 16 personality types helping clients to gain valuable insight about themselves and the people they interact with.
The Campbell Interest and Skill Survey (CISS): The CISS measures self-reported vocational interests and skills reflecting an individual's attraction for specific occupational areas. The instrument also provides estimates of an individual's confidence in his or her ability to perform various occupational activities. Clients learn how their likes, dislikes, and self-reported skills compare to those of individuals who are employed in a variety of occupations. The instrument pinpoints areas of academic study that can build skills and increase career options, and helps individuals seeking personal counseling to find occupations or vocations that help meet their needs.
Resume Writing and Interviewing
Clients receive help from a counselor with writing a resume and developing cover letters tailored to specific jobs. Numerous resume templates and sample resumes are available for review and utilization. Clients learn about interviewing techniques and are able to practice mock interviews. Following interviews, clients receive support, guidance, and feedback. Group and individual counseling sessions are utilized to explore fears and anxieties related to work.
Job Search Assistance
Clients have the opportunity to utilize Clearview's resources and conduct online job searches. A detailed employment plan is developed in conjunction with a counselor and tracked through case management. Clients are provided with support and guidance as they face the challenges of finding appropriate work for themselves.
Educational Planning
Clients that are interested in pursuing education are helped to develop and implement a viable educational plan. Testing is utilized to help clients identify their interests and strengths. Appropriate schools are researched and counselors provide the necessary guidance. Clients are helped to effectively deal with the stresses associated with the educational process and develop sound study habits.
