Sometimes, 30 days of residential treatment is just not enough to feel stable in your recovery. The days immediately following discharge can often be the scariest – and most risky – of any faced by a newly sober addict or alcoholic.
That is why Clearview offers a Residential Extended Care Program for drug and alcohol addiction and dual diagnosis. Our Extended Care Treatment Center acts as a bridge between the intensity of a 30-day residential treatment program and living independently. Extended Care is also designed for people who have been in multiple treatment centers for drug addiction or alcoholism and have repeatedly relapsed.
Our Residential Extended Care Program is located in Venice Beach, California, 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean. Clients live in a beautiful, modern craftsman-style home that includes a private chef. Clients are able to take advantage of our beautiful Southern California location, as well as all of the employment and educational opportunities in Los Angeles.
What We Treat
Our Residential Extended Care Program specializes in psychiatric disorders and addiction treatment with sub-specialties in mood disorders, trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and eating disorders. We address and treat the following:
- Substance abuse
- Depression
- Bipolar Disorder
- Trauma and abuse
- Anxiety disorders
- Eating disorders
- Codependency
- Personality disorders, including Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD)
Studies show that the longer you participate in treatment, the greater your chances of long-term sobriety and emotional stability. It can be an incredible benefit, especially if you have a history of relapse or are not quite comfortable enough with your newly learned skills and coping tools to return to your home, job, school, or community after just four weeks of primary residential treatment.
Services Offered at Clearview’s Extended Care Program
At Clearview, we base your extended care treatment plan on both your personal needs and your prior treatment experience. The length of treatment can vary according to your individual needs.
During your extended care treatment, we provide you with a full onsite clinical program that includes the following:
- Individual therapy
- Case management
- Psychiatric services
- Specialized groups
- Experiential therapies
- An intensive family week
- Life skills, vocational concerns, and educational issues, as needed
- Yoga, meditation, and an exercise program
- 12-step meetings and relapse prevention
We offer the latest in evidence-based treatments, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Somatic Experiencing (SE).
During your stay, you will develop a personal recovery plan to help you transition back into your normal life. Based on your progress, you will begin to reintegrate into your family, community, workplace, and/or school setting. You will be encouraged to practice new skills and behaviors in a safe, caring, and supportive environment while you return to everyday life.
