Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for Families
Clearview Treatment Programs’ Community Education series is for family members and those seeking help. This series will serve to help people better understand the mental health disorders that our clients struggle with and how we use evidence-based therapies in our treatment programs.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is among the most effective treatment for people struggling with the behaviors and symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and emotional dysregulation. It is also useful in addressing many other mental health concerns, including substance abuse, eating disorders, and depression.
This educational talk will describe how loved ones can employ DBT skills when dealing with family members struggling with mental health disorders like addiction and Borderline Personality Disorder. Case examples will be provided to illustrate how DBT skills can be used in interpersonal relationships.
This talk will be led by experienced DBT therapists at Clearview Treatment Programs. You will also have an opportunity to ask the leaders questions.
Free to attend. Registration required. This is an in-person event in Venice, CA. Street parking only.
