It is also useful in addressing many other mental health concerns, including substance abuse, eating disorders, and depression.

This presentation will provide an overview of the basic tenets of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and will describe how therapists can help family members employ DBT skills in relation to having a loved one affected by a mental health disorder such as substance use and Borderline Personality Disorder. Case examples will be provided to illustrate how DBT skills can be used in interpersonal relationships.
