What We Treat
While the Clearview Women’s Treatment Center was developed primarily to treat borderline personality disorder (BPD), we realize that its symptoms overlap with many other mental health diagnoses.Â

DBT-Centered Treatment
The core component of our women’s residential treatment center for BPD is dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). DBT is a powerful evidence-based therapy that can help improve the overall quality of life by helping to learn useful skills. DBT has been thoroughly researched and proven to be effective in treating BPD and a variety of other mental health disorders.
With help from trained DBT staff, clients develop an individualized treatment plan to target ineffective behaviors and increase adaptive coping skills to create a life worth living. Through individual DBT sessions, DBT skills training groups, homework assignments, and phone coaching, lasting recovery is possible.

Conveniently located in Venice, California and just minutes from the beach, Clearview’s Women’s Program offers clients ample opportunities to enjoy the outdoors with private outdoor spaces and opportunities to enjoy the beach, nearby parks, and attractions. Residents also enjoy a full selection of incredible meals, art, board games, books, music, yoga, and additional activities throughout each week.

All Clearview programs are in-network with Anthem BlueCross, TriWest (referrals must come from the VA Community Care Network), and are participating providers with the First Health and Multiplan PPO networks. We also accept out-of-network benefits from other major insurance companies, and for those preferring to pay for treatment directly, we offer a private-pay rate. We do not participate in Medicaid or Medicare programs.

Who do you treat and what payment methods are available?
Our Women’s Treatment Center treats clients with diverse gender identities (ages 18 and older), including cisgender females, trans-females and trans-males, and non-binary individuals assigned female at birth.
The Women’s Treatment Center accepts out-of-network benefits and private payment. Our Admissions Team helps each client understand their payment options and create a financial plan. To learn more, contact us today.
What kind of environment and support does the Women's Center provide?
Our highly trained therapists and staff provide around-the-clock care with education and compassion to support each of our client’s goals. Our intimate, all-female setting provides a safe and nurturing environment as individuals address some of their most challenging issues.
What kinds of therapy sessions are offered at the Women's Center?
Individual and group therapy is provided during the weekdays at a location near the residences. At our healing therapy center, each client meets regularly with one of our DBT therapists, and our psychiatrist at least weekly.
We also provide other groups, including DBT skills training, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), behavioral activation, seeking safety for trauma, mindfulness, art therapy, yoga therapy, life coaching, and pottery. What kinds of activities and support are provided for clients in residential treatment?
In the evenings and on weekends, there are structured activities along with some downtime. These activities can include gym outings, beach walks, 12-step meetings (as appropriate), and store runs.
While in residential treatment, our clients have access to coaching and skills practice whenever needed, so that they never feel alone. Our team of therapists and community counselors are here to make sure that each client gains the skills needed to have a successful return to daily life.
