DBT Day Treatment
If you are struggling with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) or significant emotional dysregulation and/or behavioral issues, Clearview’s comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) day treatment program can help.
At our DBT day treatment program in Los Angeles, you will participate in individual and group therapy seven hours each day, five days a week. This allows you to get a similar level of treatment as you would in one of our residential treatment programs with the flexibility of living at home or in another supported living environment.
Our DBT day treatment program also gives you more structure than a traditional outpatient treatment program so that you can focus on healing and get the support you require throughout the day.
Clearview’s day treatment program is held in an intimate, comfortable setting. We only treat up to nine people at once, ensuring you get the customized care you need to succeed.
Comprehensive DBT Treatment
Dialectical Behavior Therapy has been proven to successfully treat BPD, emotional dysregulation, and behavioral issues. That is why it is the core of our day treatment program, which was created specifically to treat those mental health issues. In fact, Clearview is one of the only day treatment programs in Southern California that provides true comprehensive DBT.
In a comprehensive DBT treatment program, you will participate in DBT skills groups, individual DBT therapy, and phone coaching sessions. DBT skills groups allow you to learn and practice the DBT skills of emotion regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and interpersonal effectiveness.
You will strengthen these skills during individual therapy and phone coaching sessions with one of our expert DBT therapists, who have been specifically trained in comprehensive DBT.
DBT focuses on helping you to build skills that will help you better manage your symptoms and learn healthier ways to cope with life stressors. We want you to walk out of our DBT day treatment program with the skills needed to have a life worth living.
Other Evidence-Based Therapies and Groups
While DBT is a powerful therapy, you may be struggling with co-occurring disorders or issues that are better served by other therapies. During your seven hours spent with us each day, you will also participate in the following evidence-based therapies:
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for depression and anxiety
- Seeking Safety for substance abuse and trauma
You will also participate in groups that may include:
- Mind/body wellness
- Behavioral activation
- Life coaching
- Art therapy
Other services offered at our DBT day treatment program include case management, family and couples therapy, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and nutritional counseling.
If you are entering our DBT day treatment program from outside of the Los Angeles area, we can help you to find an appropriate supportive living environment to reside in during your time in treatment. If you are struggling with substance abuse, we can connect you with a good sober living facility nearby.
